Raleigh Refugee Project

The Raleigh Refugee Project (RRP) provides faith based assistance to refugees resettling to the Raleigh, NC area. RRP is a completely volunteer organization. Working in conjunction with local churches and the Refugee Sponsoring agencies, RRP support services to refugees primarily during their first 6 months in Raleigh.

RRP services include:

• Friendship and friends to call for help
• Working with the sponsoring agency to find and subsidize an apartment
• Help furnishing the apartment
• Securing enrollment in an ESL class and transportation if needed
• Help adjusting to Raleigh (Buses, library, shopping etc.)
• Help with Transportation
• Help looking for jobs

Refugee Sponoring Agencies RRP works with

• LFS Carolinas - Lutheran Family Services Carolinas
• USCRI - US Commitee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI is a non government agency)

Resettlement of refugees is coordinated and regulated by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services
